A Healthcare Facility shares the duties and obligations for the handling and administration of drugs plus those of a supplier of drugs to Healthcare Professionals. The Facility must integrate all required and potentially relevant information it is directly or indirectly involved with into the CHR.

The need to integrate this documentation into the CHR justifies a requirement that Facilities can update the CHR with information within their control and additional, relevant information, e.g., Facility-supplied links, without the Patient's permission.

Practitioners are responsible for reviewing and responding to information contained within the CHR. The Healthcare Facility should also review and respond to appropriate and related information within the CHR.
